According to real estate records obtained by The U.S. Sun, the deejay officially purchased the Burbank, California, property on March 15 for $1.35million. "No I didn't. I didn't talk to him much," Ally said of Sandoval. "Everyone's so busy, and honestly, I think that James is even confused on where they stand, too — especially after watching this season back." “Having had such a significant market share of EV charging in Australia, if they do just disappear now, who’s going to fill that space when we’re trying to build the charging network?

He was previously living with his girlfriend, Ally Lewber, 27, in an apartment that was featured on the latest season of VPR. James, 31, interacted with his followers in an Instagram Q&A on Tuesday, showing photos of the house's expansive outdoor space. Deejay, James Kennedy of See You Next Tuesday is the next Vanderpump Rules castmate to buy a house in greater Los Angeles.

” he exclaimed during part two of the “Vanderpump Rules” reunion, which aired Wednesday. Within the off-black facade is a clean, modern home with a “custom” kitchen, two bathrooms, and plenty of white walls and inset lighting throughout. In addition to Ally, Sandoval's BFF Tom Schwartz has of course met Victoria as well. "She is absolutely lovely," Schwartz said during a February 2024 appearance on Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen.

The latest NBC News poll, for example, asked voters two horse-race questions. First, it asked about a Biden-Trump matchup and found Trump ahead 46%-44% — a result well within the survey’s margin of error. Recent polls have shown Kennedy getting more support from the Republican camp, which could be “a function of our getting the word out about him,” Smith said.

James Kennedy & Ally Lewber’s Gorgeous Backyard

We cover an array of reality shows as well as reality television stars. According to a May 3 report from The U.S. Sun, real estate records have confirmed James purchased the property on March 15, just over a month after the newly-redesigned home was listed for sale. The wide variation underscores the problem pollsters face in measuring Kennedy voters. His backers come from both the left and the right and disagree widely on many issues. What most of them share is disaffection from the political system. Disaffected people are inherently hard to poll — they tend not to readily respond to surveys — and hard to predict in terms of turnout.

Ally Lewber shares what she has learned from her Vanderpump Rules castmates

When I met James, he was super supportive, saying “You need to share this with the world.” It gave me that little confidence boost. I went to Belmont University’s School of Music, and was a vocal major. I did that for a while before I switched majors [to entertainment industry studies]. As James’ photo showed, the backyard has a beautiful pool surrounded by grass, flowers, and trees. There is also a stone patio and a wooden structure that offers a place to relax in the shade.

I also think [seeing] more of like me and James — James and me at home, seeing our real relationship and how much fun it is, seeing more of Hippie and the cats too. But I do know that this group — they really are family and they go so deep. I know everyone struggled with this season in their own separate ways, and it’s easy just to watch the show and see it for what it is. But it was really deep and I know that everyone had a really emotional time with all of it. I feel so overwhelmed with gratitude, because this is my first music project that I’ve shared publicly, so it was obviously kind of nerve-racking going into it.

One of the highlights of the villa is the outdoor space, complete with a patio perfect for hosting dinner parties under the protection of a vaulted ceiling. In an interview last month with Reuters, for example, Kennedy strongly supported Israel and expressed skepticism about a cease-fire in Gaza. Every previous cease-fire “has been used by Hamas to rearm, to rebuild and then launch another surprise attack. With the election now just over six months away, the vast majority of voters, probably about 9 in 10, have made up their minds. But those locked-in voters and states are evenly balanced between the two sides.

Ally Lewber Weighs in on the Fate of James Kennedy and Tom Sandoval's Friendship

James and Ally have given VPR fans a peek into their apartment this season. Situated in a quiet neighborhood, the property comes with a long private driveway that leads up to a detached garage. VANDERPUMP Rules star James Kennedy has dropped over $1million on a new house in Los Angeles, The U.S. Sun can exclusively report.

Now, the historic villa with its heated marble swimming pool, pool house, olive grove, tennis court and more is listed for sale for €31.5 million (about $33.6 million) with Cote d'Azur Sotheby's International Realty. “He was encouraged by Trump allies,” including Steve Bannon, Trump’s former top strategist, and “is being propped up” by big Trump donors, like Timothy Mellon, the banking heir who is by far Kennedy’s biggest contributor. Mellon, 81, has given $20 million to Kennedy’s super-PAC, American Values 2024, and has also given tens of millions to Republicans, including $16.5 million over the past two years to Trump’s Make America Great Again PAC.

They see literally 30 minutes, not even, probably five minutes of me on TV. He has Venus in the first house — I always use that to explain it to people. And my Venus is in the 12th house, so I am pretty private. However, the outdoor space isn’t all stuff to be stored.

Joe and Rose Kennedy started renting a home in the coastal village in 1926, and in 1929 they purchased the clapboard house at 50 Marchant Avenue, which they renovated and expanded. "I can't believe it's been two months, literally to the day... It's the perfect first house, I feel like," James said. It’s one of those conversations that I think is so cool about reality TV, because it makes you have tougher conversations. Like, yes, we’ve had talks like that, but none to that extent. It was nice, because it really made me start to think about what I wanted. That was a very authentic conversation, and good for us to discuss.

LVP Reacts to Tom Schwartz's New Girlfriend, Sophia

Even after the reunion, I know she was really upset and it was just pretty emotional. And then after the reunion, I pretty much had to come home and pack for the music video that I filmed the next day, so I really didn’t do any catchups or anything. And even Scheana, when she came the next day, it was all just pretty unclear how everyone felt. I feel like I’m just learning things as well, like from what they say on their podcasts or whatever. I’m not actually entirely sure where they stand, and even at Coachella, I didn’t want to bring it up.

I think it’s a Libra thing, because I’m a Libra moon and he has a lot of Libra. I know sometimes it can look like flip-flopping or a little fake, but it’s just genuinely wanting everyone to get along because you get both sides. So it’s like you understand that everyone can feel differently.

James Kennedy & Ally Lewber Have an Exciting Update on Their New House: “It Looks So Good”

While we wait to see more of James and Ally’s new home, you can watch the video above for a tour of the apartment they lived in for the majority of their relationship. Much of the space, including their bedroom, was decorated in a neutral palette. James Kennedy’s “dream studio” is coming along! Last month, the Vanderpump Rules DJ explained that he was transforming a room of his new house into the perfect space to create music. “I’m putting the new floor in,” he said, noting that he also planned to paint one of the walls.

In 1933, Joe Kennedy purchased a six-bedroom home in Palm Beach for $120,000. The estate had been built in 1923 by iconic Palm Beach architect Addison Mizner for Rodman Wanamaker, heir to a department store fortune, and the Kennedys expanded the property, adding tennis courts and a pool. The property became known as the Winter White House during JFK’s presidency and stayed in the family until 1995. On the February 13 Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen After Show, James shared more details about living "10 minutes away" from the airport. "You can hear [the planes], but we're honestly used to it," he said.

Vanderpump Rules Season 11, Episode 13 Recap: Sandoval Brings up Scheana’s Past Indiscretion

"It doesn't really faze us...If you come over, you'll probably hear a plane or two." I wish people could see more of us, because our relationship off-camera is a lot more funny, silly, and creative. And so I think that’s the only thing that hurts is when I see comments questioning my love for him, because I do love him. I think, for me personally, the dynamic, unfortunately, feels better.

james kennedy house

By contrast, the Economist/YouGov poll, also released this week, pegged Kennedy’s support at just 3% among registered voters. One reason it’s hard to guess how much support Kennedy will win this fall is that polls have a hard time measuring how much support he has now. In the weeks since, James and Ally have been showing glimpses of their stunning new outdoor space in their Instagram Stories. Start watching the Vanderpump Rules Season 11 premiere in the clip above, and press play on the video below to watch James and Ally give a tour of their home. When James admitted, "I hate building stuff," Ally quipped, "I have a feeling that we're going to be calling a Task Rabbit." With that, the couple began to make plans for their first pool party. In the beginning, it was definitely exciting to see how everyone was doing and just to catch up.

"Obviously, devastatingly good-looking, super successful, and she is very charming." "And then she was like, 'I'm [Sandoval]'s girlfriend and I was like, 'Why?'" Ally added with a laugh. Tom Sandoval's girlfriend, Victoria Lee Robinson, is slowly but surely getting to know the rest of the Vanderpump Rules cast. It is more important than ever to continue turbocharging this industry.

In the preview, James asked Ally, "Can you believe this is our house?" to which she happily replied, "No." The Vanderpump Rules couple's gorgeous new home has one less-than-desirable feature. Not really look backwards, keep things moving.

In the episode, James revealed that his new property is “in the Valley” and affirmed that it’s a “really cute” abode. “It’s a three-bedroom, like, little gray home,” he said. It’s got a dream studio.” And now, the DJ is about to make that studio even dreamier. Joseph and Rose Kennedy moved into a Colonial Revival house at 83 Beals Street in Brookline, Massachusetts, in 1914.

The reality star tried to explain that he and his new lover were just "really good friends." The best part of the home is that it includes a breathtaking backyard that has an inground pool, a spacious patio with a barbecue area, and a lot of space surrounded by trees. "The art of entertaining" was kept in mind when renovating the space that also features an "artfully crafted custom kitchen" and a "tastefully designed living room." James Kennedy, 31, upgraded his home after living with his girlfriend Ally Lewber, 27, in a nearby apartment, which was featured on this season of Vanderpump Rules. Kennedy selected a property ideal for entertaining, as the inside flows seamlessly into the backyard, which includes an in-ground pool and covered patio area.

I know the first episode, I definitely was eager to listen to it just to see — I think we all were a little bit like, OK, what’s she going to say? So I did listen out of curiosity, but I haven’t listened since. James shocked fans with his behavior at the three-part VPR reunion, where he stormed off set multiple times. In one, the TV personality smiled while standing in front of his pool, sporting a white T-shirt and a baseball cap, making a peace sign at the camera.

Everyone’s been so busy, too, where it’s like, I’m excited for any moment we have to catch up. This Coachella weekend was great, because everyone was there. We haven’t really seen each other since the reunion, because everyone’s just so busy. As for how exactly the reunion between James and Hippie came to be, James shared that fans will find out when Vanderpump Rules returns on January 30.

Honestly, that is my favorite thing about this season. I feel like everyone’s seeing a side of James that I always see, and it’s nice not to always defend him, and to see the crazy reality TV James. He is the voice of reason, because he literally just says how he always feels. And, you know, that’s got him into trouble before, but he called it how it is. He says what everyone’s thinking, and he’s still smart and witty and funny without drinking.

“You look at their growth and their share price, and it was quite dramatic. Maybe they got carried away because when you have a market like that, you need to keep up with it, you need to raise capital because if you don’t, others will step in and eat your lunch. After a rapid rise, and at the centre of US President Joe Biden’s electric car revolution, the company’s fall had been equally rapid, culminating in its collapse last week. The Vanderpump Rules couple recently showed off a beautiful room in their new house. Townhome Jackie moved into after her husband's death was put up for sale in 2021 with an asking price of $10 million.

Gothic Revival Architecture: Features and Design Ideas

Wallpaper was added to the ceiling and the backs of the bookcases, and heavy wood blinds were replaced with soft draperies and Roman shades to make the space feel lighter. The firm used a mix of fabrics and wall coverings by Ralph Lauren Home from Designers Guild throughout the space. “I really feel like the dining room is a forgotten room,” says the designer, who set out to prove how vital the space is to a home. The room is anchored by a Riva 1920 table made with the wood of a 50,000-year-old Kauri tree, which Levine surrounded with seating for 12.

Schallock said he got Williams to chase changeups and curveballs out of the strike zone. Four years later Schallock was with the Baltimore Orioles and faced Mantle, who by then was a feared slugger. The switch-hitter pulled an 0-1 pitch far beyond the left-field wall and grinned at Schallock as he rounded the bases. When Schallock was traded to the Yankees for catcher Eddie Malone, pitcher Bob Landeck and cash July 12, 1951, they made room on the roster by sending Mantle, then a slumping rookie, to the minors. Undersized at 5-foot-9 and 160 pounds, Schallock relied on guile, a sharp-breaking curveball and deceptive changeup.

This 13th-century country house used to be the gatehouse to Beaulieu Abbey. St. Brendan Catholic Church is a Catholic church in the Roman Catholic Archdiocese of Los Angeles, located in the Windsor Square section of Los Angeles, California. The current Gothic Revival-style church was built in 1927 and has also served as a location for various Hollywood productions. The exterior of the first St. Joseph's shows a rectangular building 62 x 140 feet with pointed arches holding the side window and pinnacles rising above the roof eaves at the pilaster buttresses that thicken the wall. The English interest in their roots was aided by the surviving literary works, especially the Arthurian tales. Every English nobleman wanted to trace his ancestry back to the Middle Ages.

Hand-beaded light fixtures illuminate the seating areas, which feature tables and chairs from Janus et Cie’s Amalfi Coast outdoor collection. But in 1952 the castle was bought by the son of a former gardener who restored the castle. The castle, located in the Forest of Dean, was constructed in 1727 for Thomas Wyndham.

Today it is one of the finest examples of Gothic Revival architecture in Bluffton, South Carolina. Suggesting the cathedrals of medieval Europe, these homes had pinnacles and parapets. Inspired by medieval Gothic architecture, Gothic Revival homes became popular among the affluent and were often built as country estates or suburban residences. These homes typically featured steeply pitched roofs, pointed arches, and decorative tracery on windows and doors. One notable example is the Strawberry Hill House in London, designed by Horace Walpole, which epitomizes the Gothic Revival style with its turrets, battlements, and ornate details. Many examples of Gothic Revival buildings of both high style and more vernacular character can be found across the state. The high style buildings, mansions, churches, prisons and schools sometimes offer ornate architectural details.

The main difference between Gothic architecture and Gothic Revival architecture lies in their historical context and construction periods. Gothic architecture refers to the original medieval style that flourished in Europe from the 12th to the 16th centuries, characterized by features such as pointed arches, ribbed vaults, and flying buttresses. In contrast, Gothic Revival architecture emerged in the late 18th century as a revival of the medieval Gothic style, incorporating similar features but using modern construction techniques and materials. While both styles share aesthetic similarities, Gothic Revival buildings were constructed during a later period and often reflect a romanticized interpretation of the medieval past. The Carpenter Gothic style is a simplified version of the architectural movement that still embraces some of the most prominent Gothic details. This style may also be called “Rural Gothic” or “American Gothic.” These homes aren’t made with stone, instead have vertical board and batten siding.

This movement was fueled by a sense of nostalgia for a perceived golden age of craftsmanship and artistic achievement. Revivalist architects drew inspiration from a wide range of sources, including ancient Egypt, Greece, Rome, the Middle Ages, and the Renaissance, as well as exotic cultures from around the world. They incorporated elements such as columns, arches, domes, and decorative motifs into their designs, often combining them in eclectic and imaginative ways.

It left an indelible mark on the built environment of the 19th century and continues to be appreciated for its beauty, craftsmanship, and historical significance. The Gothic Revival architecture movement occurred primarily in the 19th century, spanning from the late 18th century to the early 20th century. It emerged as a reaction to the perceived industrialization and loss of traditional craftsmanship, seeking to evoke the romanticized ideals of the medieval period. The movement gained momentum during the Victorian era and was influenced by romantic literature, historical preservation efforts, and a renewed interest in Gothic architecture.

“I thought, if somebody’s taking care of the baby, they have a space where they can come and feel like it’s a retreat,” Sabatella says. The designer outfitted a door handcrafted in India with a vintage mirror to create a one of a kind headboard and bathed the space in deep emerald green. The glamorous touches continue in the ensuite bath, where Sabatella added a custom mirror-tiled tub that plays off the vintage French tile floor. Maria Videla-Juniel turned the primary bath into a sumptuous retreat with hues of soft blue and brown. Thibaut wall coverings and fabrics were used for the walls and windows, and the elegant shagreen-covered vanities are accented with gleaming fixtures by P.E. Videla-Juniel and project manager Cheryl Hardy also installed a striking shower clad in herringbone stone tile.

They were given names from medieval cultures like, Anglo, Norman, Anglo-Norman, Tudor, and Elizabethan, to name only a few. Any connection to the named culture was strictly superficial and mostly to separate your style from the one next door. The Religious Gothic Revival in England was part of a resurgence of the Catholic religion in that country. The Protestant-Catholic conflict had been going on since Henry VIII and would continue into the twentieth century.

In the 18th century, the term "Gothic" was reappropriated by writers and architects who sought to celebrate the artistic achievements of the medieval period. Thus, Gothic Revival architecture represents a revival of interest in and appreciation for the architectural style of the Middle Ages. Gothic Revival architecture emerged as a reaction against the neoclassical styles dominating Europe in the late 18th century. This architectural movement sought to revive the medieval Gothic style known for its pointed arches, ribbed vaults, and intricate ornamentation. In this overview, we'll closely study the defining characteristics of Gothic Revival architecture, its historical context, influential architects, and its global spread.

The History of Gothic Revival Style What Is Gothic Revival

Gothic architecture refers to the original architectural style that emerged in Europe during the medieval period, from the 12th to the 16th centuries. It is characterized by features such as pointed arches, ribbed vaults, flying buttresses, and intricate ornamentation. Gothic architecture was prevalent in cathedrals, churches, and other religious buildings across Europe and represents one of the most significant architectural movements in history.

Nods to Pasadena’s famous peacocks can be found throughout the designs, and many creators fearlessly brought in statement floors, enveloped their spaces with jewel tones, and added texture to ceilings. Others focused on bringing the beauty of the estate’s gardens and views inside with verdant murals, floral fabrics, and nature-inspired lighting. Prideaux Place is an Elizabethan country house in Cornwall with neo-Gothic elements. The house was built in the late 16th century and has been the home of the Prideux family for 400 years. It showcases Victorian rooms and furniture, paintings, and decorative art. As well as rooms dedicated to natural history, archaeology and social history.

The porch on the left side has been enclosed to make an extra room and the decorative woodwork across the top of the porch has been removed since this photo was made in 1977. The steep roof makes dramatic gables with decorative barge boards in a wave pattern. The square porch columns sport capitals that branch and echo the curves of the barge boards. As for the details of the style, often it seems to take nothing more than a pointed arch to achieve the 'distinction' of being Gothic Revival. Instead, I think of such usage as being one element in the overall design.

Pugin and "truth" in architecture

Each conceived it as a national style, and each gave to it a strong and characteristic twist of its own. With her plumed hat and cloak, Mary may be portrayed in the guise of the witty and free-spirited Beatrice from Shakespeare's As You Like It. The loosely painted landscape in the background evokes the romanticism of Shakespeare's work that resonated with the spirit of the Gothic Revival. The low seat along with the high, lancet-arch-shaped back and tapered stiles give this pair of chairs a strong sense of verticality. Remarkably little Gothic Revival furniture is marked or labeled, making it difficult to identify the makers of these evocative furnishings. In his landmark publication, The Architecture of Country Houses (1850), Andrew Jackson Downing praised the accomplished cabinetmakers in New York, Boston, and Philadelphia for their work in this style.

Belvoir Castle

You’ll likely find a porch with a large window above it, stained glass or bay windows, chimneys, and maybe even a small tower. Throughout the Middles Ages, Gothic architecture was the prominent architectural style used in European cathedrals, like France’s Notre Dame and England’s Westminster Abbey. These traditional Gothic buildings often feature flying buttresses, large towers, countless windows, and incredible ornate detail.

Gothic and Englishness

Only toward the middle of the century were the seriousness and moral purpose that underlay this movement formulated as a doctrine and presented to architects as a challenge to the intellect. Augustus Charles Pugin, in England, was the first to codify the principles of the Gothic Revival. Far more persuasive and influential exponents, however, were Eugène-Emmanuel Viollet-le-Duc in France and John Ruskin in England, who gave to the movement a moral and intellectual purpose. The second half of the 19th century saw the active and highly productive period of the Gothic Revival. By then, the mere imitation of Gothic forms and details was its least important aspect; architects were intent on creating original works based on the principles underlying Gothic architecture and deeply infused with its spirit. Born in South Hadley, Massachusetts, Edwin White began his career as a portrait painter in Hartford, Connecticut.

An engraving showing an example of a Gothic front elevation from a building design book by Samuel Sloan. This was probably William Whelpley, listed in Rev. Spencer Carr’s A Brief Sketch of La Crosse, Wisconsin of 1854, who was from Massachusetts and listed himself as a farmer. A more generalized medieval style than Gothic appeared in the early 20th century.

Born in Middleton, Connecticut, Richard William Hubbard graduated from Yale before moving to New York City to study with artist Samuel F.B. Morse. After spending a year in England and France—where he sought inspiration in the works of seventeenth-century landscape painter Claude Lorrain—he settled in Brooklyn and in 1842 began exhibiting landscapes at the National Academy of Design. Like many of his contemporaries, Hubbard traveled widely in New York state and New England during the summer months in search of landscape subjects, painting small-scale studies from nature, such as this. These modest works were praised by critics as "gems of quiet beauty" and reveal his ability to capture the natural effects of light and atmosphere. This bronze and brass Gothic chandelier once lit the parlor of a Gothic Revival cottage at 86 Spring Street, Portland, Maine, which was designed by architect Henry Rowe.

What is the Gothic revival style in architecture?

Their newly constructed spacious country houses, or villas as they were known in the period, offered sweeping views of the Hudson River and the surrounding rolling fields and hills. Gothic Revival architecture is called so because it represents a revival or resurgence of the medieval Gothic style that originated in Europe during the Middle Ages. The term "Gothic" originally had negative connotations, referring to the Germanic tribes that sacked Rome in the 5th century. However, during the Renaissance, it was used pejoratively to describe the perceived barbarism of medieval art and architecture.

However, there were very few trained American architects at this time for him to work with. While traveling in Britain that summer, Downing, who was a theorist, not an architect, convinced London-trained architect Calvert Vaux (1824–1895) to join him in the United States. Two years later he recruited another young Englishman, twenty-four-year-old Frederick Clarke Withers (1828–1901), to join them in the practice as their architectural assistant.

The chair's deep seat, slightly reclined back, and tufted leather upholstery (a reproduction) offer its sitter a comfortable seating option for reading or other leisurely pursuits. In the second half of the eighteenth century, as part of the emerging Romantic sensibility of the time, three aesthetic ideals were introduced and debated. Philosophers and artists attempted to define what should be described as visually beautiful, as picturesque, and as sublime.

Ladies in distress, knights in armor, and heroic battles were much more interesting to the general public than the aesthetic hair splitting and esoteric themes of Immanuel Kant and the like. The novels of Sir Walter Scott brought the Middle Ages alive and made the Gothic era more like their own time and thus more understandable. The Gothic Revival began at about the same time as the interest in the classical world did and lasted into the mid-nineteenth century in the U.S.

He and his wife eventually moved to Northern California, where he’d grown up. A brick-walled patio became a party-ready outdoor kitchen and dining area thanks to Douglas R. Sanicola of Outdoor Elegance. Sanicola and Monique Wood installed Caesarstone countertops fabricated by Carlito’s Way Stone to create a functional space for outdoor entertaining. Designer Lara Hovanessian packed plenty of bold design elements into the powder room and adjacent lounge. A moody House of Hackney floral wall covering lines the dressing area, which leads to a powder room accented with a Kelly Wearstler’s Graffito II from Walnut Wallpaper.

For her Foyer of Enchantment, Scheff installed a custom mural by Hattas Art Studios, a John Richard chandelier dripping with glass leaves, a silk wall covering by Aux Abris, and organic furniture created with Amorph Studio. “I wanted you to feel like you were transported to another time and place,” Scheff says. But in the early 19th century architect James Wyatt extended and remodeled it into a Gothic Revival castle.

The new entrance is supported by colonettes, small columns, set on pedestals, a design motif Nichols also used on the Italianate Martindale house at 10th and Cass St. in 1860. The large arched window with three sections was most likely in the dining room. When Charles Barry and Augustus Pugin designed the Houses of Parliament in 1835, they chose the Gothic Revival style. This reflected their view that a return to a medieval ethos would correct what they saw as a post-Reformation decline in English architecture.

The tour celebrates the release of Gold-Diggers Sound, an R&B album birthed from extended late nights at the Los Angeles speakeasy and studio of the same name. The album collects stories from Leon Bridges’ life and celebrates Leon’s immersive experience of creating music in the same East Hollywood room where he lived, worked and drank over the course of two years. What began as nightly all-night jam sessions where Leon and his fellow musicians could just vibe and let loose away from crowds, cameras and structured studio schedules, quickly began to form into what he realized was an album. The soulful collaboration between Leon as an artist and the space itself was so encompassing that he chose to name the album after the soon-to-be legendary complex.

But while nothing could compete with the absolute VIBE that was Bridges singing those two songs, the singer had one other major treat in store. While a quick online search tells me Bridges says the song is about spiritual cleansing, it seems many of the couples were convinced it was about something else as they began kissing, slow dancing and doing other (mostly situationally appropriate) couple things. Tickets for the whole tour go on sale Friday, February 25 at 10 AM local time, with various presales starting Tuesday, February 22 at 10 AM local.

Leon considers the album to have psychedelic influences while staying true to the modern R&B sound he has been moving towards since his debut. The first track released was “Motorbike” which Leon debuted alongside a Bonnie and Clyde inspired adventure film directed by Director .Paak – the directing name for Anderson .Paak, a longtime friend of Leon. In a June presentation, CATS officials publicly blamed the contractor, Johnson Brothers, for poor quality work. CATS said the company is "ineffective in project management, rail installation and bridge construction resulting in poor budgeting, scheduling, construction, and/or quality." The Gold Line, which remains closed, previously ran from the Transportation Center in uptown along East Trade Street and Elizabeth Avenue to Hawthorne Lane and Fifth Street. Extensions at either end will take it west to Johnson C. Smith University on Beatties Ford Road and east across Independence to Sunnyside Avenue. The bridge over Independence Boulevard closed in July 2017 so workers could rebuild the span and install the streetcar tracks.

Beyond was one of 2020’s most popular first dance songs at my wedding dance studio and online. Earlier this year, I shared a video on YouTube of one of my 2019 couples dancing to this song and the feedback has been so positive! He began writing songs at a young age, learning simple guitar chords to accompany his lyrics. He was working as a dishwasher and playing open mic nights when he happened to befriend White Denim guitarist Austin Jenkins. With Jenkins’ assistance and vintage equipment, the singer was able to cut demo versions of “Coming Home” and “Lisa Sawyer” in 2014. After receiving over 800,000 streams of these songs, the singer signed with Columbia Records, promptly releasing “Coming Home” in 2015 as his first single.

He’s also got a busy tour schedule before he and Little Dragon hook up in July, including spring dates with Chiiild. In December 2019, Houston, Texas-based trio Khruangbin announced a collaboration and tour with Leon Bridges and released a single titled "Texas Sun" on December 6, 2019. The Los Angeles date is at The Wiltern on October 11 (tickets), and tickets to that, and all dates, go on sale Friday, July 30 at 10 AM local time, with various presales starting Tuesday July 27 at 10 AM local time.

I love this song, so I completely recommend it as a first dance song choice, or for any part of your wedding ceremony. If you want to learn a version of the choreography you saw in the video and images above, you can enroll in my Beyond by Leon Bridges Beginner Online Wedding Dance Tutorial for just $149. The major con for this song is that it’s on the slow side from a timing perspective. It’s also sung by a man and uses female pronouns, so it’s probably not the best choice for a same-sex couple. I would suggest dancing through about 3 minutes of the song and then having your DJ fade it out. Meanwhile, Leon Bridges releases Texas Moon, his second collaborative EP with Khruangbin, this week.
